10 painful days of commuting problems are over...temporarily...for some 600,000 residents of greater Buenos Aires.
A halt has been called on the city's subway strike.
Subway workers still want a 28% raise...and underlying the bitter strike is the power struggle between President Cristina Kirchner...and Buenos Aires Mayor Mauricio Macri...the leading replacement for Cristina in a few years.
The contentious issues are...who controls the metro..and who will pay for the system's much needed improvements.
Macri demands continued subsidies...and Cristina wants to cut back or eliminate them.
