A turn in the highway near Malinalco called 'Curva del Diablo'/the devil's curve...lived up to its sinister name...as a bus from Aguascalientes headed to the sanctuary of Christ of Chalma...plunged off the side of the road...and down a steep 60 meter/197 foot slope...killing 12 and injuring at least 32.
Police believe the brakes may have failed.
