EL SALVADOR : 300,000 Displaced By Floods; Crops, Economy Damaged.

                                                BBC

Ten days of torrential rains in Central America have killed more than 100.
In El Salvador alone, more than 30 have died and more than 50,000 had to leave their homes...as water rose by 3m/10ft or more.
President Mauricio Funes estimates damage at $650mn...about 3% of the country's GDP...as the agriculture sector is affected and food must be imported...especially corn and beans.
