HUNGARY / BULGARIA / POLAND: Tanks Rescue Stranded Drivers.
The Hungarian Army rolled out T-72 tanks to rescue motorists stranded since Thursday on the M-1 motorway from Budapest to Vienna...after heavy snows and icy weather.
Strong winds and snow drifts were reported...from Bulgaria and Slovakia to Serbia.
Almost 200,000 households in the region lost electricity.
