USA / ECONOMICS / POLITICS: Economist Krugman Slams Fiscal Cliff Scolds.

     This blog mostly avoids USA politics...and economics...because there are literally hundreds of thousands of dedicated and detailed sites out there covering those topics...but few in English interested in the politics/economics of Slovenia...and Uruguay...and dozens of smaller nations.
    But...last night...the editor's favorite snarky Keynesian economist...Paul Krugman...Nobel winner/Princeton professor/NYTimes columnist...appeared on the PBS Newshour...to discuss the alleged 'fiscal cliff.'

    Krugman describes it instead...as an 'austerity bomb'...more of a 'fiscal slope'...but that it could certainly cause recession.
    Krugman says: "...unless something is done, basically (we are scheduled) to do to ourselves gratuitously what has been happening to some of the European economies.'
...We set ourselves up with the land mine in front of the road of our economy...".

       For visitors from outside the USA...the interview wades pretty deep into the weeds of opposing parties proposed fiscal reforms.
