Seen widely on state TV...some 250 prisoners at Prison #6 in Kopeisk...protested for better conditions, the end of beatings and extortion...along with release of convicts from solitary.
Some were bloodied...yet they gathered on a roof in the cold...and hung a sign asking for help.
38 were detained...and at least 8 officers were injured.
Hundreds of relatives and friends gathered outside the Urals prison...to support the convicts protest.
Some of the injured were onlookers.
