Officials have declared about 250 cats living for the past 19 years...in Roma's Largo Argentina ruins...as health hazards...and demand that they be removed.
No matter that the cat colony is a popular tourist attraction...officials say they are filthy and endanger the site...close to where Julius Caesar was stabbed to death.
The informal volunteers who care for the cats...have vowed to fight the mass eviction.
