After some of his party's rebels deserted him...center right PM Petr Necas' fate looked sealed...to defeat.
But...it appears his cabinet will survive...after the rebels gave up.
Young Necas has struggled...as austerity measures and scandals have eaten away at his coalition support.
A crucial and controversial lower house vote Wednesday now looks likely to pass.
It will raise the VAT, income and other taxes to cut budget deficits...and is coupled with a confidence vote.
