Mexico's Navy has suddenly taken the lead in capturing the nation's leading narco figures...even far away from the ocean.
The recent killing of feared Zetas founder and chief Heriberto Lazcano Lazcano in a border shootout in Progreso...exposed how the Navy has quietly succeeded in capturing sought-after prominent narcos.
But unlike the army...the smaller Navy special forces don't seek media attention.
They are also not based inland...and less likely to be tempted by narco threats and huge bribes.
