       ANALYSIS

     Kremlin sources claim when President Putin attacks the West...his popularity pops up by 12%.
    Interestingly...Putin's popularity has slipped by 12% since returning to the presidency in May.
     So they predict Putin will continue to evoke past glories...and vilify the West...to combat growing middle class disillusionment in Moscow and St. Petersburg...and anger and unrest  among Muslims in the Caucasus.
