In a controversial reduced Supreme Court split ruling...3 of the 7 judges allowed the possible release of 15 Colina death squad members....and set another free immediately.
Squad members were convicted of killing 53 people in the 1990's.
Colina was the brainchild of President Fujimori's spy chief Vlad Montesinos.
The court's highly technical decision reduces the squads' sentences.
