Federal police have arrested 18 people...including 6 ranchers...in Mato Grosso do Sul...for the murder of Guarani leader Nisio Gomes last November.
Gomes, 59...led his indigena peoples in retaking land after their eviction by ranchers.
A reluctant witness testified that Gomes was shot dead and his body was removed.
It has not been recovered.
