Nicaragua has been getting press lately as a relatively safe Central American tourist spot....without the growing narco violence of Costa Rica and Guatemala.
But recently...5 young foreign tourists were tied-up and robbed on a Friday eve while traveling in a microbus thru Somotillo.
The small bus with 3 Aussies, 2 Danes..and 3 Nica passengers was driven to a rural area...where the victims were bound and robbed by 3 assailants...including a man with a pistol.
