The box cutters are out for President Dmitri Medvedev.
With just 6 weeks before his return /demotion to PM...he is seen by foreign investors as a weakened...and probably...short term player in Moscow policies.
Perhaps waiting in the wings to succeed him is Alexei Kudrin...a highly efficient finance minister and strong Putin ally...who was forced out by Medvedev in September.
But...Medvedev has delivered an unusually hawkish stance over the proposed USA/NATO missile defense shield.
He is demanding documents...not just 'a friendly chat over a cup of tea or glass of wine'...detailing the targets are not Russian...and threatened undefined responses.
