It doesn't take a political genius to figure out what happened between PM Vladimir Putin and his former protege President Dmitry Medvedev.
Mix a growing rivalry with petty jealousy and strong egos...and you get a...soured so-called 'tandem.'
Especially after Russia's elites...and even its pensioners...started to favor the hipper Medvedev.

As for Medvedev...on the internet his new moniker is...zhalky/pitiful...and widely seen as a 'lame duck' even by his own supporters.
They doubt he would last as PM...if Putin even keeps his promise and names him.
AND: Russia is riding the Putin wave...with stocks up 24%...and the ruble nearing a 6 month high...as a surefire Putin win...and soaring oil...feed investors enthusiasm.
