President-elect...PM Putin seems the master of macho PR...until truth emerges.
Portrayed as 'heroic'...and broadcast widely on state TV...in 2008...Putin shot an 'attacking' amur tiger with a tranquilizer...and allegedly saved a TV crew.
Now the action is described as a masterful PR stunt.
Bloggers and environmentalists claim evidence that the tiger was not wild and fierce...but a zoo resident named Serga...that eventually died from 3 shots to calm it.
