Over 600 indigena and peasants ended a 15 hour occupation on the construction site of the Amazon's massive $11bn Belo Monte dam.
Members from 21 different indigena nations, fishermen and other residents were protesting on the banks of the Xingu River.
A judge has threatened to fine each protesters 500 reais/$292 per day if they don't end the protest.
The protesters reportedly did not cause any damage.
