At least 9 critics of President Hugo Chavez have had their Twitter accounts hijacked by hackers who then post pro-Chavez remarks...along with insults and threats.
A hacker group calling itself "N33" is claiming responsibility for the Twitter takeovers.
"N33" has also taken over some Gmail accounts.
"It's an invasion, a humiliation. It's as if you're about to go into your house and the door doesn't open with your key, and you sense there's someone inside posing as you," said one hacking victim.
Some 2 million Venezuelans...8% of the population...use Twitter.
Chavez's own Twitter account... chavezcandanga... reached 2 million followers in August.
