President Dilma Rousseff has wielded her hatchet again...this time against longtime Defense Minister Nelson Jobim (above)...naming former Lula Foreign Minister Celso Amorim, 69, (right) to replace him.
Jobim recently committed several gaffes...saying that one minister lacked power and that Dilma's new cabinet was full of "idiots" and another staffer was a "weakling" who didn't know her way around Brasilia.
Even more revealing was his recent public admission that he voted against Rousseff in October 2010.
There were also reports that he strongly objected over the President's decision to delay the purchase of an estimated $4-7b of new jets...because of budget cuts.
