Anyone who really knows Cuba...knows there is a privileged ruling upper class.
If not...who are all those people driving new Audis and Mercedes around La Habana?
In my many months living there...I never infiltrated that society.
I preferred the honest company of tourist street hustlers, beggars and illegal vendors.
But a new b/w foto book called "Habana Libre"...by Michael Dweck...exposes that select sector of Cuban life...dominated by its political, athletic and creative elites...those with easy access to the forbidden and expensive capitalist perks...like Google, IPhones and Nikes.
