GUATEMALA : Emergency Declared As Fungus Infects Coffee Crop.

A coffee tree fungus has infected 70% of Guatemala's crop...and forced the government to declare an 'emergency'...and offer nearly $14 million in aid to small farmers for pesticides.
Coffee is the nation's chief export...and without chemical treatment...production could drop by 40%
The coffee rust/roya...has also affected Honduras, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Panama.
The blight causes leaf loss...producing fewer beans...with inferior quality.
