A Rio judge ruled that Swiss based drilling contractor Transocean...can resume operations in Brasil's waters...except in the Frade field...because the current ban harmed public coffers and Petrobras.
Transocean runs 10 drilling rigs in Brasil waters.
But...he ruled that USA oil giant Chevron is still banned from operations...except for mitigation of its 3,600 bbl oil spill...even after paying a $17.3 million fine for the spill.
