Because of civil war...there has been no census count in Bosnia since 1991.
100,000 were killed there...and over 2 million fled the region.
Soon...a 2-week test census of 15,000 people will begin...in preparation for a fuller official count in 2013.
The EU requires recent population figures for membership.
