BRASIL: Determined To Develop...Dilma Backtracks On Amazon Protection.

     LONG READ...with 33 fotos!
President Dilma Rousseff is backing-off previous administration efforts to protect the sensitive Amazon region.
She has weakened the environmental agency...by handing control of it over to local officials...often creating often lax enforcement and conflicts of interest.
Dilma's goal is to develop more energy sources for industry...with some $48 billion budgeted for 21 new Amazon dams.
Many apparently approve because a recent poll showed her with 77% support.
