Ahead of Sunday's parliamentary elections...a party that supports gay rights, liberalizing abortion laws and the greater separation of church and state...has arisen...with perhaps 10% of voter support and a chance at joining the next government.
The Palikot's Movement party is named after former wine and vodka producer Janusz Palikot, 46.
He says his support comes from younger Poles voting for the first time.
"It's only an illusion that Poland is so extremely Catholic," he said. "We want to remove religion from the public spaces."
He also favors deregulating marijuana use.
