President Hugo Chavez's political rivals must watch what they say...on their own telephones.
Though wiretapping without a court order is illegal in Venezuela...recently phone recordings have been airing on state TV and radio...ridiculing and embarrassing Hugo's opponents.
Longtime opponent and possible presidential candidate Oswaldo Alvarez Paz (right) has gotten TV exposure - 4 times - often gossiping and complaining on the telephone about other anti-Chavez politicians.
About the phone calls, Chavez remarked: "They're stabbing at each other.Those people cannot come back to govern this country."
