AUSTIN STATESMAN/ M. Cerulli
These truly are dog days for news.
So...how about a cute hot llamas story?
It features the ongoing severe Texas drought, some over-heated llamas and a retired couple in suburban Manor...who let 7 of their creatures cool their hooves...inside the house.
"There's no grass, no local hay to buy, no forage," said Claud Bramblett, a 71-year-old retired professor of anthropology at the University of Texas. "It's too hot for them. The stock tanks have dried up. They're having a hard time."
