Manuel Zelaya, ousted as president by a military coup in June 2009, has finally returned...to large crowds and promises of rejoining political life in Honduras.
Zelaya returned home because of a "reconciliation" agreement brokered by Colombia and Venezuela.
Honduras' desire to be reinstated to the OAS was conditioned upon his return.
"Compatriots! Comrades!" Zelaya shouted. "This ordeal … has not been in vain. Here we are, still standing, ready to fight."
