President Jacobo Arbenz's name and reputation was officially trashed for decades...after a 1954 CIA-backed coup chased him out of office.
He was called a commie...and worse.
Now the government there is promising his relatives that they will revise his role in history texts...and finally treat Arbenz as a hero.
A main highway and a museum wing will be named after him.
There will even be a series of stamps to honor the progressive president...who died in 1971...a broken 57-year-old...in Mexico.
