How many residents of this dangerous border city of 1.4 million have deserted it since a turf war broke out among the narco terrorists even after President Felipe Calderon sent nearly 10,000 troops to restore order?
Nobody really knows but estimates range from 100,000 to 230,000 and even higher.
At least, 6,000 businesses officially closed in 2010.
In last year alone, massacres, beheadings, torture seen on YouTube videos and car bombs have killed more than 3,000 people, including 102 police, making it one of the most dangerous places on earth.
Many are apparently fleeing across the border for the safety of El Paso, Texas.
