A Russian national studying at NYU has been charged with 37 others for attempting to steal $220 million dollars usd by defrauding U.S.and British banks and using false passports.
Kristina Svechinskaya, 21 (pictured) was indicted in New York for an Eastern European-led criminal plan that used an Internet virus to divert money from online accounts of small businesses and individuals.
Officials say she was among four students from NYU who acted as “money mules that opened hundreds of bank accounts.”
