BRASIL: Coffee, Sugar Cane, Oranges Suffer; Worst Amazon Drought In 47 Years.

BLOOMBERG/ By Lucia Kassai/     The Amazon’s water level at 18-meters (59-feet) on Sept. 20 was at its the lowest since 1963 and is disrupting transportation of food, fuel and medicines in the north.
Coffee crops in Minas Gerais may be hurt by the driest weather in four years. Sugar-cane output may fall for the first time in 11 years in 2011.
