CZECH REP: Outgoing President Klaus Charged With 'High Treason'...For Prisoner Amnesties.

By a narrow margin...some unhappy opposition lawmakers have charged outgoing controversial euroskeptic President Vaclav Klaus with 'high treason.'
In January...Klaus unilaterally released 7,000 jailed prisoners under an amnesty program.
Some dozen high profile corruption cases...were included under the amnesty...and tossed out.
Klaus' punishment by the opposition Senate members...is largely symbolic...requiring him to surrender his position...which he is already doing on Thursday when his term ends.
But...also he could lose his presidential pension.
