GERMANY / ROMANIA / BULGARIA : Berlin Will Veto Schengen For Sofia And Bucharest.


    In a Der Spiegel interview...German Interior Minister Hans-Peter Friedrich declared that Berlin will continue to exclude Bulgaria and Romania from the passport free Schengen zone...at a Thursday EU ministers meet.
     Friedrich is quoted as saying...'If Romania and Bulgaria insist on a vote, the attempt will fail due to a German veto.'
