        At least 500 Roma families are suffering thru the harsh winter...in a crude walled-in settlement...erected by the young mayor of Baia Mare.

      Human rights groups call it a ghetto..and accuse its creator of being a racist...defacto imprisoning the population. 
      But Baia Mare's mayor is the area's most popular politician...winning office in June with 86% of the vote.
