RUSSIA : New Borei Class Sub Is Launched...With Safety Escape Modules.

      Especially for maritime fans

      Because of the tragic lost of all 118 crewmen on the submarine Kursk in the Arctic in 2000...Russia's new nuke Borei class subs...will all have escape capsules.
      The Yuri Dolgoruky has joined the fleet...the first of a planned 8 Borei class subs.
      It cost $760 million...and has a crew of 107.
      It is allegedly quieter than previous subs...and capable of diving to 450 meters/1485 ft.
