Melbourne's international reputation will now suffer for the very bad manners of some of its citizens...after several bus passengers there hurled verbal abuse...and even threatened to kill...4 French girl tourists who were playfully chanting a French song Sunday night.
One passenger yelled...'speak English or die motherf###er.'
One witness said: 'It was a mob mentality...and sad to see. They were looking for an excuse to get angry. It was a sad state of affairs. The older crowd was accepting of the racism and the younger crowd was excited. It's like they were showing off for each other.'
The girls were helped off the bus by other passengers...and ran away in terror.
The entire confrontation was captured on cell video.
