President Hugo Chavez, 57...finally appeared in public on Sunday...to quash continuing rumors of a worsening illness...and kicked off his re-election campaign...with a fiery 90-minute speech...and his a cappella rendition of the national anthem.
Most polls give Chavez a double digit lead over young Henrique Capriles Radonski.
Today...prosecutors announced the arrest of a low level doctor...Dr Ana Maria Abreu...for revealing state secrets over the past 2 years.
Abreu has worked in the presidential palace for 12 years.
Her attorney said Abreu had no access to state secrets...but is the sister in law of a prominent Chavez critic.
