Some 675 fisherman had to be rescued from an ice floe...off the coast of Sakhalin island in the far east.
It took 6 hours...and 11 ships, 2 helicopters with 48 rescuers to airlift the stranded fishermen off the floe...that had broken off and drifted 500m away.
The fishing enthusiasts had been warned of possible high winds...but chose to ignore the cautions.
