PM Putin's supporters clumsily photo shopped a picture of opposition blogger Alexei Navalny meeting with wanted oligarch Boris Berezovsky...published it in a newspaper...and handed out thousands of copies.
The implication is that Navalny is funded by the disgraced billionaire living in London.
Navalny mocked the smear as amateurish.
His image has been doctored many times...from the original showing Navalny with Mikhail Prokhorov (above)...to him...and Josef Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Napoleon Bonaparte, Vladimir Putin and even an alien.
