Diverse foreign films were selected for Hollywood's 84th Academy awards ceremony on 28 Feb.
There are films from Iran, Belgium, Israel and Canada...along with Poland's entry...'In Darkness'...directed by Agniezska Holland.
'In Darkness' is the story of a WW2 rescue of Jewish refugees from Lviv.
It is Holland's 2nd Oscar nomination.
"Every time is like the first time," she said. "And this film was more difficult than any of my movies in terms of the conditions, in terms of the ambition, in terms of the shooting."
