After a human rights official described former PM Yulia Tymoshenko's health problems as "extremely serious"....she was allowed to visit a hospital for medical treatment.
But...she was quickly returned to her cell...after state doctors claimed "her life was not in danger."
The envoy had said that Tymoshenko, 50, could not even get out of bed...during a recent visit.
Tymoshenko is serving seven years in Kiev for abusing her power.
She is appealing her conviction.
