USA authorities announced busting a Sinaloa narco operation that smuggled an estimated $33mn in drugs...monthly...into the USA across the Arizona desert.
The 17-month operation called “Operation Pipeline Express” was launched by local, state and federal agencies in May 2010.
Officials say the network has operated since 2005...and smuggled more than 3.3mn pounds of marijuana, 20,000 pounds of cocaine and 10,000 pounds of heroin into the country...netting the Sinaloa narco gang about $2bn.
At least 76 were arrested in Arizona at various Phoenix area stash houses...in Chandler, Stanfield and Maricopa.
