The second most powerful politician in Colombia...Bogota Mayor Samuel Moreno Rojas, 61...was sent to prison...pending a trial for taking bribes from public works contracts.
He has already been suspended as mayor and expelled from his political party.
The judge called him "a menace to society"...and prosecutors jailed him because they feared he might flee the country.
