Disgraced 3 time PM Silvio Berlusconi has been found guilty of illegal wiretapping...and sentenced to a year in jail.
But he can remain free...during a likely appeal.
Berlusconi was also ordered to pay 80,000 euros/$104,000...plus legal costs.
Slippery Silvio had some cops illegally wiretap a political enemy...and then leaked the results to his brother's newspaper...which published them.
Berlusconi's lawyers are also appealing an October tax fraud conviction.
A verdict in his infamous 'bunga-bunga' teen sex trial is also expected later this month.
