CHILE : Ex-Prez Bachelet Announces New Presidential Run; Students Clash With Police.

     Former President Michelle Bachelet will run for the office again in November.
     The nation's first woman chief executive was highly popular...serving from 2006-2010...but prohibited by law to serve a second consecutive term.
      For the past 3 years Bachelet, 62...has overseen women's issues at the UN.
      The left center candidate must survive a primary election in June to advance.
      Current President Sebastian Pinera is a highly unpopular conservative billionaire.

     Hundreds of rock and paint throwing students took to the streets of Santiago again...clashing with police...who used tear gas and water cannons to repel them.
      It was their 2nd street demonstration of 2013 for education reforms.
