       At least 83 people have died so far in Ukraine...during a persistent cold spell.
       Last winter...more than 100 died from the cold in Ukraine.

      Night time temps have sometimes dropped below -28C/-18F.
      More than 500 people have sought medical help for hypothermia.

      The continued freeze follows a heavy snowfall of up to 53 cm/21 inches...that stranded traffic and  motorists last week... for 18 kms/11 miles...between Kyiv and Lviv.
