Some are calling it the worst speech...ever.
Others...are still saying...Huh?!"
Or simply ...'Bizarre!'
'It was unique'...Ann Romney politely said.
Aged actor/director Clint Eastwood spent 12 minutes arguing with an empty chair...pretending it was President Obama...on the final big night of the GOP Convention in Tampa...while millions of viewers scratched their heads...and the USA's social media...like TWITTER...went wild!
No surprise...but this blog's editor...skipped the show entirely...in fact...the entire GOP convention...to watch Season 2 of 'The Big C' with Laura Linney...on 3 dvds.
But...here are some of tweets about Clint's performance:
"Backstage somewhere, Clint Eastwood is yelling at people for almost sitting on Invisible Obama."
"This is a perfect representation of the campaign: an old white man arguing with an imaginary Barack Obama."
"If Clint ends this bit with "The Aristocrats!", I swear I'll vote for Romney."
AND: Conservative TV commentator Joe Scarborough said: 'A great night for Mitt Romney just got sidetracked by Clint Eastwood. Wow. That was bad.'
Finally...liberal TV political analyst Rachel Maddow said:
“That was the weirdest thing I've ever seen at a political convention in my entire life … and it will be the weirdest thing I've ever seen if I live to be a hundred.”
It has also started an new internet meme...called 'Eastwooding.'
NEW!!! TO WATCH: 10:27 USA Comedy Channel's 'Daily Show' coverage of Eastwood... 'The Old Man and the Seat'.
