The cost of housing in Ukriane...is among the highest in Eastern Europe...as a proportion of average income.
The housing industry there has stagnated since the 2008 credit crisis...with its currency down a staggering 41% vs the usd.
Mortgage rates jumped to 30% in 2010...from 10% in 2007.
They now hover around 18%.
