President Raul Castro is an anciano/ancient one...but not a jubilado/retired.
Completing his 81st year Sunday...Castro is still running the island...despite an April 2011 proposal to limit terms on everyone including himself...and 15 years after men his age can retire.
Raul's top leadership is also aged.
Cuba expert Phil Peters observes : "Time and again they've postponed elevating figures from the next generation to the top levels of leadership. It creates some uncertainty."
